Lin’s Linens Launch Event: The Healing Power of Art

On Oct. 30, 2010, magic was in the air at The Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury NJ! Between 7 and 9pm, 328 people came through the doors of the gallery to see the work of over 60 artists and to offer their support to Lin’s Linens, Inc and our public launch. Many mediums were represented as our artists displayed their talent and bared their souls in the statements beside each piece. The bond shared was palpable, everyone linked by the common denominator of being touched, either personally or emotionally, by a woman who has battled cancer. The honor of having so many of our artists and survivors present was an added gift that the evening offered.

The gallery was full of artists and loved ones who were treated to the sweet sounds of the harp played by Abbey Westgate while viewing the over 50 pieces of artwork on display. The reception was further enjoyed with compliments of many special people. A delicious buffet was available thanks to the generosity of Sickles Market, Pizzuto Ravioli, Giuseppe’s Ristorante, (732-312-5579), Live*Love*Cupcakes as well as several other private donations. Libations were enjoyed in beautiful stemware generously donated by Paul David Partywares and the room was elegantly presented through the talents of Chrysaliz Design, LLC. The images were captured expertly thanks to the artistry of Amber LaFrance Photography and Metro Velvet. It is very safe to say that a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to The Guild of Creative Art, our wonderful artists, all who attended and to our dedicated volunteers who were so helpful in the mechanics of making this wonderful event run so smoothly.

The show ran through Nov. 11, 2010 and saw countless other visitors with many of the pieces being  sold. The Guild of Creative Art was gracious in their request for us to return next year for another show. And, we are on their calendar for the whole month of August 2011.
